Essay Questions to Outnumber Multiple-Choice Items in 2027 Preparatory Arabic Exam

Egypt’s Ministry of Education has said the 2027 Arabic language exam for the preparatory certificate will include both essay-style and multiple-choice questions.

Essay-style questions will make up the larger share of the exam, according to the format outlined in the announcement.

The exam will therefore require students to write answers as well as select from the options provided in multiple-choice items, rather than rely on a single question format.

The brief announcement did not specify the number of questions in either category or how marks would be distributed between them.
