AI Is a Partner, Not a Replacement, Egyptian Researcher Says

Artificial intelligence should be treated as a partner rather than a substitute for people, according to Dr. Shaimaa Youssef, an assistant research professor at the City of Scientific Research in Borg El Arab.

Youssef stressed that using AI technologies requires an understanding of both their capabilities and their limitations.

Her comments place human responsibility at the centre of the relationship with AI. Even when the technology supports a task, responsibility remains with people.

The distinction highlights the need for an informed approach to AI: recognising what it can offer without treating it as a replacement for human judgement.
