Transport Ministry Continues Execution of Main High-Speed Train Workshop to Support National Network Maintenance

The pace of work is accelerating in the construction of the major central workshop dedicated to serving the first line of the high-speed electric train network. This represents a strategic step toward localizing the transport industry and maintaining rolling stock according to the highest international engineering standards, ensuring infrastructure readiness for high-efficiency train operation around the clock with the latest technologies.

The Ministry of Transport's plan aims to transform this technical complex into a leading regional center for providing logistical and technical support for the electric traction system, while training Egyptian cadres and engineers on the latest control and management systems. This enhances the state's self-capabilities and reduces reliance on foreign expertise in managing giant, sustainable national projects.

The project reflects the Egyptian government's commitment to developing a green and clean mass transit network connecting ports, industrial zones, and modern urban communities. This contributes to attracting direct investments and facilitating internal trade movement, in addition to providing thousands of specialized job opportunities for youth and technicians in modern technology fields.
