Extensive Obstruction Campaign in East Sohag Results in Seizing 256 Violations to Ease Traffic Flow

The local unit of East Sohag district implemented a major surprise campaign targeting main squares and streets to regulate utilities and remove obstructions and encroachments hindering pedestrians and vehicles. The campaign resulted in the confiscation and issuance of 256 violation reports, ranging from concrete barriers and unlicensed signs to obstacles belonging to some shops.

The campaign targeted vital streets and the vicinity of educational and health facilities to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent daily congestion. Seized items were confiscated and placed in district warehouses according to followed legal procedures, and firm warnings were directed to commercial activity owners regarding the necessity of adhering to their allocated spaces and not encroaching on the public road.

District officials confirmed the continued organization of these surprise field tours during both morning and evening shifts to prevent the return of chaos to the street. They stressed that there will be no complacency with any violation affecting the city's civilized appearance or disrupting citizens' daily interests, applying immediate deterrent fines against all violators without exception.
