Alexandria Authorities Launch Intensive Campaigns, Successfully Removing 14 Encroachments in Three Districts

Executive authorities in Alexandria Governorate, in coordination with security forces, launched major field campaigns to confront illegal building and enforce the rule of law. The operations resulted in the removal of fourteen encroachments, including walls and unlicensed buildings in various areas within the Montaza, Amreya, and East districts, to prevent the random and illegal exploitation of land.

Governorate leaders stressed to district heads the necessity of precise daily monitoring and preventing any new building violations at the onset, dealing with them immediately without complacency. Deterrent legal measures are being taken, and violators are being referred to the Public Prosecution to ensure the preservation of agricultural land and prevent the emergence of informal settlements in coastal areas.

The governorate's main operations room also confirmed the continued receipt of citizen reports and complaints regarding building violations around the clock. These are handled quickly via rapid intervention teams to maintain the city's civilized appearance and protect infrastructure from pressures resulting from unplanned population densities in various sectors.
