Cairo University Announces Comprehensive Plan to Improve Professor Incomes and Expand Healthcare

Cairo University administration has placed the improvement of incomes and financial allocations for faculty members and their assistants at the top of its strategic plan priorities for the next two years. This is alongside a major expansion in comprehensive social and health care programs, with hundreds of millions allocated to cover the costs of medical treatment, advanced surgeries, and medication for academics and their families at the university's advanced hospitals.

Humane and organizational measures included the allocation of large sums of money to support the university's social solidarity funds, aimed at paying tuition fees for needy students and providing free university housing for struggling cases. This is in addition to supporting student clinics and providing free periodic medical examinations to ensure the stability of the students' educational journey and provide an integrated academic environment that ensures the principle of social justice for all.

The university presidency emphasized continuing to maximize its own resources and directing financial surpluses towards enhancing the quality of services provided to professors, employees, and students alike. It considers the human element the fundamental pillar for maintaining the academic standing and prestigious international ranking of Cairo University among major regional and international universities specialized in research and innovation.
