Cairo University Nears Launch of New 500500 Oncology Hospital in Sheikh Zayed

Cairo University announced the nearing official opening of the first phase of the new National Cancer Institute, the 500500 Hospital in Sheikh Zayed City. This is considered one of the largest national health projects in Egypt and the Middle East, with construction of treatment buildings and the equipping of intensive care rooms and outpatient clinics nearing final completion at the highest international standards.

The hospital has been equipped with the latest advanced medical devices for precise diagnosis, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and complex oncology surgeries, in addition to specialized departments for stem cell research and bone marrow transplants. The center is scheduled to operate at a large capacity to provide comprehensive care services free of charge to thousands of citizens annually within a modern hospitality and healing environment.

The opening of this giant edifice comes as part of Cairo University's integrated strategy to enhance the university health system and raise the efficiency of its affiliated hospitals. The university administration confirmed that the new hospital will effectively contribute to reducing waiting lists and supporting state plans to expand the provision of distinguished medical services with exceptional quality to all segments of society.
