Unlicensed Factory Producing Adulterated Nutritional Supplements and Veterinary Medicines Seized in Dakahlia

Security forces at the Dakahlia Security Directorate, in coordination with the Supply Sector, raided an unlicensed factory operating in the production and packaging of adulterated nutritional supplements and veterinary medicines inside a village in Mansoura district. Large quantities of unknown-source raw materials and packaging equipment used in commercial fraud were seized.

Investigations revealed that the factory operators were mixing powder that did not meet health specifications and packaging it in containers bearing forged trademarks of major international and local companies. This was in preparation for releasing them into the markets for illicit financial gains, thereby exposing the lives and health of citizens and livestock to severe risks due to improper handling.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of the facility owner and three of his employees, in addition to the seizure of about eight tons of chemical powders and containers ready for distribution. Necessary legal measures were taken, and the seized items were confiscated by specialized committees, while the defendants were referred to the Public Prosecution, which initiated the investigation and ordered the facility to be closed and sealed.
