Gang Specializing in New Cairo Villa Thefts Busted and Stolen Items Recovered

Cairo security forces managed to dismantle a criminal gang consisting of four elements specialized in breaking into villa doors and stealing valuable contents in the Fifth Settlement and First Settlement areas. Investigations began following multiple reports from homeowners regarding missing gold jewelry and cash sums while they were away.

Following legal procedures and the review of surveillance cameras surrounding the incident sites, criminal investigation teams succeeded in identifying the perpetrators and their locations. They were targeted in synchronized security missions that resulted in the arrest of all members in possession of tools used for breaking doors and vehicles used to transport stolen goods from the crime scenes.

When confronted, the defendants confessed to committing seven similar incidents and guided the police to a secret warehouse where they kept the stolen items. All seized jewelry and electronic devices were recovered in preparation for their return to their rightful owners. The Public Prosecution ordered the detention of the defendants for four days pending investigation, with continued inquiries into their criminal activity.
