Two Killed and 6 Injured in Microbus Overturn Accident on Matrouh Coastal Road

Two people were killed and six others sustained various injuries and fractures across their bodies after a microbus overturned on the Matrouh coastal road near El Alamein. Ambulances and traffic forces immediately moved to the scene to provide medical care and transport victims to the general hospital.

Preliminary inspection by security agencies revealed that the accident occurred due to a blowout of the front right tire while the vehicle was traveling at excessive speed. This caused the driver to lose control of the steering wheel, leading the vehicle to veer off track and overturn several times on the side of the highway, resulting in a partial disruption of traffic flow.

Traffic Department cranes succeeded in removing the vehicle wreckage and reopening the road to normal traffic. Meanwhile, medical teams at the hospital provided necessary first aid to the injured and placed the bodies of the deceased in the morgue. The Public Prosecution authorized the burial of the bodies after completing legal procedures and questioning the injured driver.
