US Plans for Possible Strikes on Iran Await Trump’s Decision

US Central Command leaders and Pentagon officials are preparing a broad list of potential targets in Iran as Washington weighs possible new military operations.

The planning remains subject to a decision by President Donald Trump. Preparing targets does not mean an order to carry out strikes has been issued.

US officials believe new military operations could take place before the end of the year, though that timing remains a possibility rather than a confirmed schedule.

The available information does not identify the potential targets or detail the scope of any operation under consideration.
