Lebanon’s Aoun Says Security and Public Services Are Key to Restoring Trust

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said development cannot take place without security, stressing that rebuilding citizens’ trust in the state begins with ensuring access to public services.

During a visit to Tripoli, Aoun said his presence was intended to reassure residents that the state remains by their side at all times.

His remarks linked the restoration of public confidence to the state’s ability to meet citizens’ needs, placing service provision at the heart of that effort.

Aoun also underscored security as a prerequisite for development, presenting it alongside public services as central to the relationship between the state and its citizens.
