Mbappe Double Seals Clasico Win for Real Madrid, Denies Barcelona New Record

Kylian Mbappe scored twice to secure victory for Real Madrid over Barcelona in El Clasico, denying their rivals a new record in the process.

His opening goal arrived in fortunate circumstances in the 41st minute, when an attempted clearance by Barcelona defender Gerard Martin struck the French forward.

The ball ricocheted into the net, with the goal credited to Mbappe after Martin’s effort to clear the danger backfired.

Mbappe finished with a decisive double as Madrid claimed the Clasico honours. Barcelona, meanwhile, were left without the result they needed to reach a new milestone.
