Yemen Coalition Says It Intercepted Houthi Missile Targeting Khamis Mushait

The coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognized government said it intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired by Houthi forces toward Saudi Arabia.

The missile was headed toward Khamis Mushait, in the south of the kingdom, according to the coalition’s account.

The brief statement reported that the interception was successful but did not provide details about where the missile was destroyed or the systems used to intercept it.

No information on casualties or damage was included in the account, which also did not specify when the launch took place.
