Reports: Saudi Arabia Prepares for Possible Attack on Yemen’s Ansar Allah

Saudi Arabia is reportedly preparing for a possible attack on Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, according to sources cited in reporting on the conflict.

The reported preparations come amid attacks on the kingdom and bloody fighting in the Yemeni city of Taiz. The available information does not specify the timing or scope of a potential Saudi operation.

The developments place the prospect of further military action alongside efforts to pursue a political path. Iran has put forward a proposal for a political process.

Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan are discussing the Iranian proposal. Details of its terms and the outcome of those discussions were not provided.
