King Salman Invites Qatar’s Emir to Gulf-European Summit

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent a written message on Sunday to Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The message included an invitation for the emir to participate in the Gulf-European summit.

The invitation from King Salman, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, concerns a gathering bringing together Gulf and European leaders.

The brief announcement did not specify the summit’s date or venue, or indicate whether Qatar’s emir had confirmed his participation.
