Bahrain Part Ways With Coach Dragan Talajic After Gulf Cup Exit

The Bahrain Football Association has ended its contract with Croatian coach Dragan Talajic by mutual consent, bringing his tenure with the senior national team to a close.

The decision came five days after Bahrain lost their Gulf Cup title, with their campaign ending in the group stage.

Bahrain had entered the tournament as defending champions but failed to reach the knockout rounds, ending their hopes of retaining the trophy.

The agreement to part ways closes Talajic’s spell in charge in the immediate aftermath of that unsuccessful title defence.
