Riyad Mahrez Nears Qatar Move After Saudi Al-Ahli Spell

Algerian Riyad Mahrez is on the verge of a move to the Qatari league after deciding on his next destination following the end of his spell with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli last summer.

The move is aimed at keeping Mahrez at the highest level of Asian football, with Qatar emerging as the next stop in his career.

No prospective club has been identified, and details of any agreement or a timetable for completing the transfer have not been provided.

A switch to Qatar would keep Mahrez in the Gulf after his time in Saudi Arabia. For now, the proposed move has yet to be confirmed as a completed signing.
