Mohammed bin Rashid Tells Dubai Community: ‘We Have Built a Beautiful City’

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, has addressed a message to the city’s community, describing Dubai as “a home for the world.”

The message appears in the second part of his book “The Messages.” It is addressed to the people of Dubai, those who reside there, its visitors and all who love the city.

“We have built a beautiful city,” Sheikh Mohammed said in the message, pairing that reflection with his description of Dubai as a place of belonging for the world.

His address reaches beyond citizens and residents to include people whose connection to Dubai comes through visiting it or holding affection for it. That broad audience is central to the message’s portrayal of the city as a shared home.
