Israel Orders West Bank Closure and Shuts Gaza Crossings Ahead of October 7 Anniversary

Israel has decided to impose a comprehensive closure on the West Bank and shut crossings leading into Gaza on Monday and Wednesday, coinciding with the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks.

The measures will restrict movement through the affected crossings on both days, with only limited exceptions permitted.

Those exceptions include humanitarian cases and medical teams. No further details were provided on how the exemptions would be applied.

The Israeli authorities did not identify a specific security incident behind the closure decision. The restrictions come as the anniversary approaches, but no more detailed explanation for their timing was given.
