‘What You’re Saying Is Disrespectful’: Vieira Defends Senegal Duo in Heated Exchange

Senegal coach Patrick Vieira clashed with a journalist after his side’s 1-0 friendly victory over Comoros, angrily defending two of his players.

The confrontation came after the match, shifting attention from Senegal’s narrow win to a heated exchange involving the coach.

Vieira objected to the journalist’s remarks about the Senegal duo. “What you’re saying is disrespectful,” he said as he challenged the reporter.

The two players at the centre of the dispute were not identified in the available account, which did not detail the remarks that prompted Vieira’s response.
