UAE, Algeria and Sudan to Address UN General Assembly as Security Council Meets on Palestine

The United Nations General Assembly’s general debate for its 81st session concludes on Monday in New York, with the United Arab Emirates, Algeria and Sudan among the countries scheduled to speak.

South Sudan is also taking part in the closing day’s proceedings, as member states deliver their final addresses of the debate.

The final day coincides with a UN Security Council meeting on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, placing the issue on the council’s agenda as the Assembly wraps up its discussions.

The two meetings bring the General Assembly’s broad diplomatic debate and the Security Council’s consideration of the conflict into focus on the same day.
