‘I Would Not Have Let Others Die’: Flydubai Pilot Describes Cockpit Attack by Co-Pilot

An Indian pilot flying for Flydubai has described an attack by his co-pilot in the cockpit, recounting his determination to open the cockpit door and allow others inside.

The pilot said he was intent on ensuring that those outside could gain access. His account placed the cockpit door at the centre of his efforts to respond to the incident.

“I would not have let others die,” the pilot said, stressing his resolve to prevent the confrontation from costing other people their lives.

The brief account did not specify when the incident occurred, which flight was involved or how the confrontation ended. It also did not explain what prompted the alleged attack.
