Trump Warns Iran of ‘Very Powerful Strike’ if Role in Flydubai Incident Is Confirmed

US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with a “very powerful strike” if its involvement in an incident involving a Flydubai aircraft is established.

Speaking informally with reporters at the White House, Trump said he believed Iran was involved, while indicating that the matter was still being examined.

“I would say the answer is yes, based on what I’m hearing, but we’re working on this at this very moment,” he said.

His remarks stopped short of confirming Iranian responsibility. The warning made any threatened strike conditional on establishing Tehran’s role in the incident.
