Start with the total cost, including any taxes or additional fees, rather than relying on the advertised price alone. Then check how long the promotional rate lasts and what you would pay once it ends.

The third detail is what the package actually includes: make sure the service you want is covered. Fourth, look for usage limits or restrictions that could reduce its value or leave you paying for extras.

Fifth, check whether the subscription renews automatically and when the next payment would be taken. Sixth, read the cancellation terms, including any notice period, minimum commitment or early-exit charge.
