Unitree Robots Perform Traditional ‘Water Sleeve’ Dance in America’s Got Talent Final

A Chinese dancer and eight humanoid robots brought a centuries-old Chinese dance tradition to the America’s Got Talent final with a synchronized “water sleeve” performance.

The routine featured robots from Unitree alongside the human performer, pairing robotics with a dance form known in Chinese as “shuixiu.”

Water sleeve dancing uses long, flowing sleeves as part of its choreography. The stage performance placed those sweeping movements at the center of a coordinated routine between the dancer and the machines.

The act offered a meeting of traditional performance and modern technology, with the humanoid robots taking part in the choreography rather than serving simply as a backdrop.
