OpenAI Expands AI Agent Push Amid Competition With Meta

OpenAI is moving to strengthen its presence in the AI agent market through a new system called “Dots,” as it competes with Meta in the field.

The move puts AI agents at the center of another area of competition between the companies. These systems are generally designed to carry out tasks, rather than simply respond to individual questions.

Dots is described as a new agent system, but the available information does not explain its specific capabilities or how users would interact with it.

Details on a launch date, pricing and availability were not provided, leaving the scope of OpenAI’s planned expansion unclear.
