New Tool Removes Apple Intelligence Models to Free Up 12GB on Macs

A new tool aims to free up 12GB of storage on Mac computers by removing the AI models used by Apple Intelligence.

The tool addresses a storage concern facing some Mac users, particularly those with 256GB devices, where space taken up by AI models can leave less room for other files and applications.

Removing those models offers a way to reclaim local storage, though the reported saving should not be taken as a guaranteed result for every Mac.

The available information does not identify the tool or explain how it works. It also provides no details about compatibility, safety or whether the deleted models could be downloaded again.

Users considering the tool should verify those details before proceeding, including how removing the models would affect Apple Intelligence features.
