How to Hide Your WhatsApp Profile Photo From Others

WhatsApp users can control who sees their profile photo, including hiding it from specific contacts or everyone on the app. The privacy option helps limit the visibility of personal information without requiring users to remove their picture.

To change the setting, open WhatsApp and go to Settings, then select Privacy and tap Profile Photo. This menu lets you choose who can view the image attached to your account.

Selecting “My Contacts” limits visibility to people saved in your phone’s address book. To exclude particular people, choose “My Contacts Except…” and select the contacts you want to prevent from seeing your photo, then confirm the selection if prompted.

For users who prefer to keep their profile image hidden from everyone, the “Nobody” option prevents other users from viewing it. Choosing “Everyone” makes the photo visible to anyone using the app.
