Wadi Degla Appoints Portugal’s Pedro Almeida to Develop Artistic Gymnastics Academy

Wadi Degla Clubs has announced the appointment of Portuguese gymnastics coach Pedro Almeida to help develop its artistic gymnastics academy and introduce the latest training programmes.

The appointment will focus on improving both gymnasts and coaches, supporting the academy’s ambitions in domestic and international competition.

Wadi Degla, described in the announcement as Egypt’s largest private club organisation, said the move is intended to sustain its record of winning major championships and maintain its leading position in the sport.

Almeida’s role will bring player development and coach training together as the academy works to build on its competitive success. The announcement did not specify the duration of his contract or provide details of the training programmes he will introduce.
