US Condemns Settler ‘Criminal Violence’ After Attack on Jalud

The United States condemned what it described as “criminal violence” by Israeli settlers following an attack on the Palestinian village of Jalud in the occupied West Bank.

The condemnation came as Israeli authorities continued to enforce a closure of the West Bank during the fourth day of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

The closure coincided with incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem and the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.
