Getafe Nears Move for Former Real Madrid Defender Dani Carvajal

Spanish club Getafe is closing in on a deal to sign Dani Carvajal, putting the former Real Madrid defender on course for a new chapter in his career.

Carvajal has been without a club since his contract with Real Madrid expired at the end of June. He is therefore available to join a new side as a free agent.

Getafe has emerged as an unexpected destination for the defender. A move there would keep him in Spanish football following the end of his spell with Madrid.

The deal is not yet complete, but Getafe is moving closer to securing Carvajal’s signature and bringing his period without a club to an end.
