Egypt’s House of Representatives Announces Leadership of 25 Committees

House of Representatives Speaker Hisham Badawi announced on Sunday the results of elections for the leadership bureaus of the chamber’s 25 specialized committees.

The announcement came during a plenary session, setting out the committees’ leadership for the second session of the third legislative term.

The elections concerned the bureaus responsible for leading the specialized committees, rather than the leadership of the House itself.

The summary of the announcement did not include the names of the elected committee officers or a breakdown of the results for individual committees.
