Arsenal Back Arteta With Long-Term Contract Extension

Mikel Arteta has signed a long-term contract extension with Arsenal, keeping the Spanish manager in charge after leading the club to the Premier League title last season.

The triumph ended Arsenal’s wait for a league crown stretching back to 2004 and marked a major milestone in Arteta’s time at the club.

The renewal signals Arsenal’s continued confidence in the manager as the team looks to build on that success. The precise length of the new agreement was not specified.

Arteta described what has been achieved so far as “just the beginning,” underlining his ambition to carry the club forward after its title-winning campaign.
