State Information Service Chief at Al-Azhar: Building Awareness and Countering Disinformation Is a Shared Responsibility

The head of Egypt’s State Information Service said building public awareness and confronting disinformation are shared responsibilities, during an educational seminar at Al-Azhar University.

The event, titled “Youth and Their Role in Supporting Egypt’s Public Image,” opened at the university’s conference hall.

Dr Mahmoud Siddiq, the university president, attended the seminar, which focused on young people’s role in shaping perceptions of Egypt.

The State Information Service chief’s message linked that role to the broader task of strengthening awareness and responding to misleading information.
