Sisi’s Messages Highlight Need for Internal Unity, Says Parliamentary Official

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s messages underscore the importance of maintaining a cohesive domestic front, according to Mahmoud Hussein Taher, deputy chair of the House of Representatives’ Communications and Information Technology Committee.

Taher made the remarks in connection with an expanded meeting chaired by Sisi at the Strategic Command headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

The lawmaker placed internal unity at the centre of his assessment of the president’s messages, highlighting the importance of cohesion within Egypt.

His comments focused on that domestic message, rather than any specific telecommunications or information technology issue within his committee’s remit.
