Egyptian Women Break Glass Ceiling in Leadership Roles Once Reserved for Men

Egyptian women have gained ground in leadership positions once dominated by men, as women’s advancement has become a central issue on the state’s agenda.

Over the years, the focus has broadened from treating women’s status primarily as a matter of social and legal rights to recognising their place in leadership and decision-making.

The period since June 30 has marked a significant chapter in that shift, with women establishing themselves in a range of senior roles previously regarded as the preserve of men.
