Cairo University and Shanghai International Studies University Expand Academic Partnership

Cairo University and Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a centre for Chinese studies, expanding academic cooperation between the two institutions.

Cairo University is headed by Dr Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, while SISU is led by Dr Ming Zhongjie.

The agreement places Chinese studies at the centre of the universities’ latest collaboration, providing a framework for the planned centre.

The brief announcement did not specify a timetable for establishing the centre or outline its academic programmes.
