Egypt’s Supply Ministry Emphasises Domestic Trade Development to Improve Market Efficiency

Egypt’s Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade has stressed the importance of developing the domestic trade sector to strengthen competition and improve market efficiency.

The ministry highlighted the need to encourage the expansion of modern commercial activities, linking that growth to broader efforts to develop the local market.

It said the development of domestic trade would also support investment and the movement of goods within Egypt, placing both among the priorities for the sector.
