Qatar and Turkey Discuss De-escalation and Freedom of Navigation

Qatar’s prime minister and foreign minister discussed regional developments and efforts to ease tensions in a telephone call with his Turkish counterpart.

The conversation also covered bilateral relations between Qatar and Turkey, alongside ways to safeguard freedom of maritime navigation.

During the call, the Qatari official reaffirmed Doha’s support for diplomatic efforts to ensure that navigation remains free and secure.

He also stressed Qatar’s backing for diplomacy aimed at achieving sustainable peace, linking efforts to reduce tensions with the pursuit of lasting regional stability.
