Egyptian Officials Inaugurate First Cyclotron Unit at Shefaa Al-Orman Hospitals

Senior Egyptian officials have inaugurated the first cyclotron unit at Shefaa Al-Orman Hospitals, with Ambassador Nabila Makram, two cabinet ministers and the governor of Luxor attending the opening.

Makram took part in her capacity as head of the technical secretariat of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work.

Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsy and Local Development Minister Manal Awad also attended, bringing together representatives of government and civil society for the inauguration.

Cyclotrons are used to produce radioactive isotopes for medical applications, including diagnostic imaging. The opening marks the introduction of this technology at Shefaa Al-Orman Hospitals.
