Sharqia Targets 400,000 Feddans of Wheat for New Winter Season

Sharqia’s Agriculture Directorate is preparing a winter planting plan that aims to bring 400,000 feddans under wheat cultivation.

The preparations include identifying the crops farmers are expected to plant during the coming season, with wheat topping the list of winter crops.

The wheat acreage target is a central part of the directorate’s seasonal planning. It represents an intended planting area, rather than land already confirmed as sown.

The directorate is currently preparing to implement the plan as attention turns to farmers’ crop choices for the new winter season.
