2,200 Litres of Subsidised Fuel Seized Before Black-Market Sale in Beheira

Supply authorities in Egypt’s Beheira governorate seized 2,200 litres of subsidised diesel and petrol before they could be sold on the black market.

The seizure came during intensive inspection campaigns carried out by the Beheira Supply Directorate at markets and fuel stations.

The campaigns targeted the illegal sale of subsidised goods, as well as expired products and goods of unknown origin.

The fuel seizure was part of the directorate’s wider effort to combat violations involving subsidised supplies across the governorate.
