Bibliotheca Alexandrina Hosts Seminar on Egypt in Travel Writing

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina organised a seminar titled “Egypt in the Writings of Arab, Muslim and Western Travellers.”

The event was organised through the library’s Antiquities Museum, which is part of its Cultural Outreach Sector.

The seminar’s theme placed Egypt at the centre of travel writing, focusing on accounts by travellers from different cultural and religious backgrounds.

Its scope brought Arab and Muslim travellers’ writings alongside Western accounts, framing Egypt as a shared subject across these traditions.
