Damietta Date Harvest Begins as Farmers Report Better Yields

Farmers in Egypt’s Damietta governorate have begun harvesting dates, reporting improved yields per feddan and high crop quality this season.

The harvest follows a cultivation cycle lasting more than 120 days, bringing the crop from the growing stage to collection.

Growers say productivity per feddan has improved, although no figures were provided to show the scale of the increase.
