Sohag Health Authorities Close 14 Unlicensed Medical Facilities and Dental Clinic

Health authorities in Sohag have closed 14 unlicensed private medical facilities and a dental clinic that violated infection control requirements.

The closures came as the Private Treatment Department at the Sohag Health Directorate continued its monitoring and inspection of private healthcare premises.

The oversight efforts are being carried out under Dr Ahmed Refaat, the Health Ministry’s undersecretary in Sohag.

The action addressed two separate types of violations: operating without a licence at the 14 facilities and failing to meet infection control requirements at the dental clinic.
