Vidal Criticises as Henry Defends Ronaldo in Portugal Camp Dispute

Cristiano Ronaldo’s dispute with Portugal coach Jorge Jesus has stirred debate across football, with current and former players and coaches divided over the captain’s departure from the national team camp.

Ronaldo left the camp after remaining on the bench against Norway. The episode has put his relationship with the coach under scrutiny and prompted contrasting reactions over how the situation should have been handled.

Vidal has taken a critical stance, while Henry has defended the Portuguese star. Their opposing positions reflect a wider split between those backing Ronaldo and those supporting the coach’s authority to make selection decisions.

At the centre of the controversy is the balance between the standing of a national team captain and a manager’s control over his squad. As reactions continue, the dispute has pushed that question to the forefront of discussion around Portugal.
