Egypt a Key UN Partner in Advancing Peace and Sustainable Development, Foreign Ministry Says

Egypt’s Foreign Ministry highlighted the country’s role as a key partner of the United Nations in consolidating peace and achieving sustainable development during an event at Cairo University.

Ambassador Mohamed Abu Bakr delivered remarks on behalf of Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty as the university hosted the UN secretary-general.

In the address, Abu Bakr expressed Egypt’s pride in welcoming the secretary-general, underscoring the importance Cairo places on its relationship with the United Nations.

The remarks placed peace and sustainable development at the centre of Egypt’s partnership with the UN, presenting both as core areas of cooperation.
