Portugal Fans Question Ronaldo’s Starting Role in Poll

A poll of Portugal supporters has revealed doubts over Cristiano Ronaldo’s place in the starting lineup, with respondents indicating that the national team captain no longer deserves an automatic start.

The findings came after Portugal’s 2-1 victory over Norway in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday, when Ronaldo remained on the bench and did not feature.

Portugal secured the win without their captain taking the field, putting the question of his role in the team back in focus.

The poll concerned Ronaldo’s place in the starting side, rather than whether he should remain in the national squad. No details were provided about the number of respondents or the breakdown of their answers.
