Public Utilities Union Warns Against Inaccurate Posts on Electricity Workers’ Pay

Egypt’s General Union of Public Utilities Workers has warned against circulating inaccurate information about wages in the electricity and renewable energy sector.

The union, headed by Hisham Fouad, directed its warning to workers in the sector as well as unofficial pages.

It cautioned against both publishing and sharing posts containing inaccurate pay details, placing the focus on the reliability of information being circulated.

The warning concerned wage-related information rather than a pay announcement. The brief statement provided no wage figures or details of any salary changes.
